Pisces – Who are they?? They’re the last sign of the zodiac ruled by Neptune, the planet of fantasy and magic and a ruled by the King of the Sea, Neptune. Pisces are idealistic, dreamers, creative, tend to wear rose coloured glasses and are usually very sensitive. The symbol of Pisces – two fishes swimming in opposite directions – suggests the main tension in the Piscean character – a natural perversity. Kindness joins with keen intuition to make Pisceans the best sort of friends. They are friendly, charitable and self–sacrificing, but their willingness to help others has a drawback for themselves in that they too often make it an excuse for failing to exploit their own potential. March is a very difficult time for Pisces, with Venus out of phase in their 2nd house of self–esteem and self–worth March 6 – April 17. March is a month when we will see many celebrity relationships stumble and fall – especially Aries celebs. A surprise break up (like Reese & Jake), Chris Martin & Gwyneth Paltrow or the announcement finally of a divorce for Latino songbirds J Lo & Marc Anthony will be splashed across the tabloids in March with Venus out of phase and a Full Moon in Virgo (the sign of definite decisions and of perfection).
Venus is the goddess of love and relationships and whenever she goes out of phase, all hell breaks loose when it comes to relationships and falling in and out of love. There will be some surprise break ups to make up for sure and it might not be until May until some of our fav celebs get back together.
Aries, Leos and Sags are most affected by Venus retrograding in March through April – the air signs are also affected – Gemini’s, Librans & Aquarians. Venus rarely goes out of phase but when she does, usually all hell breaks loose. Know this and know that when you read the tabloids about one of your fav couples breaking up, you don’t get too upset or invested in it. Chances are they will get back together.
And especially around the timing of the New Moon in Aries March 26, there are bound to be things happening with making up and breaking up. Some couples might even announce they’re giving it another ‘go’ while Venus is out of phase – Britney & Kevin for example – Hugh Hefner & Holly Madison…but it will be short lived if it lives at all.
Pisces Jennifer Love Hewitt recently broke off her engagement to her fiancé which was a huge surprise, while Drew Barrymore has been snogging with all sorts of characters – Cancer Ed Westwick from Gossip Girl for one (plus she looked kinda spaced out at the Golden Globes with Jessica Lange…). That of course was thanks to Mercury retrograding in Capricorn January 12 – February 1. Now in March we have Venus retrograding, the other personal planet. Personal planet in that they affect us personally, on a day to day basis. And with Mars and Mercury in Pisces for much of March, there will be a realization for many that their lives aren’t as romantic as they would like. That their partner isn’t as sensitive and emotionally available to them as needed. And hence the breaking up, quickly followed up in May with the realization that no one is perfect and that sometimes it’s ‘better the devil you know’ as our very own Kylie said.
Melissa George (Leo) has been starring on Grey’s Anatomy for the past season but is ready for something else. The show has definitely lost its spark and it will be no surprise if Sagittarius Katherine Heigl jumps ship while Venus is out of phase too (all the fire signs exiting!). In fact, Venus retrograde will definitely affect Hollywood – TV and movies – with people falling out of love with each other, other actors, producers, scripts, writers etc. The much ballyhooed writers strike could very well occur in March or April and we could hear stories of arguing and fighting behind the scenes and in front of the scenes too.
Barack Obama is now Mr. President and being a Leo he’s ready to go! Venus retrograde hits him hard in his 9th house of spirituality and he could very well feel very disenchanted with the whole presidency thing. Lucky for him his wife Michelle is an indestructible and very efficient Capricorn, so she won’t let him wallow for too long. And with Mars and Mercury both transiting Aquarius, Barack’s opposite sign, he will have wonderful support around him. He will just feel personally as if he is loosing his mojo after such a fabulous campaign and inauguration. Natural and not so natural – but that’s Venus retrograde for you!
