What it all means…

May is set to be a very intense month indeed. Full Moon in Scorpio, Mars and Venus in Aries, Saturn finally moving direct in Virgo and Mercury retrograding in Gemini, one of the sign he rules. Plus with the Sun in stubborn Taurus, we can expect that control issues and emotional baggage will take a toll of all of us.

Mercury retrograde is as you all know a time of ‘Murphy’s Law’ – whatever can go wrong will go wrong – misunderstandings and mixed messages and signals all combine to make life hell for the majority of us – you Gemini’s and Virgos especially. Don’t start anything new while Mercury is out of phase. It’s more a time to work on those projects and things you already have up and running and wait until June to start something fresh.

Venus and Mars in Aries all month suggest that there will be quite a lot of aggression surrounding relationships and power struggles. If you’re an Aries or involved with one, know that there is a lot of energy surrounding Aries so watch out! It’s a time for ‘me first’ type attitudes for sure. However with Mercury out of phase as well, there will be quite a lot of misguided energy and passion. Be careful when driving – you could definitely find yourself getting speeding tickets and unwanted parking tickets simply by being careless.

Celebrity wise:

May is tricky. A lot of energy poised in aggressive Aries usually means that there is trouble stirring not far beneath the surface. People will be openly obvious to each other more than usual…we will see spats between couples and between celebs and the paparazzi in May for sure.

Cancer constantly in trouble Lindsay Lohan and her forever dour looking lover Leo Sam Ronson will no doubt come under scrutiny in May with a Full Moon in Scorpio on May 8 and with Mercury retrograding in Gemini and Taurus throughout the month. Venus and Mars in Aries affects Lindsay’s 10th house of career and social status and she might feel pressure to end her ‘alternative lifestyle’ and become more in tune with what Hollywood really wants in a big time movie star (a man by her side – let’s be honest).

Britney Spears, who has seemingly turned into our golden girl overnight finishes up her tour in May and we will see if she managed to finish it without injury or any major drama and if she is as golden as we hope and think she is (or slightly tarnished).

Very sad news re Natasha Richardson – a low key, polite woman who was not only a fabulous actress, but mother, sister, wife and daughter as well. A tragic accident at 45 years of age which makes us all realize we never know what tomorrow will bring us and to really enjoy every day and not sweat the small stuff which we all do. Think again people. Life can be way too short!

Chris Brown’s career is most likely over thanks to his beating up his girlfriend Rihanna (Aquarius/Pisces cusper – Feb 20). He has the unfortunately temper tantrum side of Taureans which is well known. Billy Joel is another bull who was a real bully when he was married to Aquarius Christie Brinkley (so the rumours go). Chris is young but that doesn’t give him any sort of pass at all. And once again according to rumours, this is not the first time he has roughed up Rihanna. It’s one of those unfortunate aspects of having a temper – which Taurus the bull does – and when it manifests itself into violence, it can be bad. Chris Brown reportedly lost over $5 million in endorsement deals within 24 hours of word coming out about the beatings. It would be a shame if Rihanna went back to Chris, but obviously it’s her choice. Just not a good example for other young women out there who look up to her. It will be difficult for her to resurface back into the public eye too. Her career could also be affected long term by this incident.

Aries celebs will be in the cosmic spotlight throughout May – look out for updates with Reese Witherspoon, Elle McPherson, Alec Baldwin, Mariah Carey (preggers??), Mandy Moore (engagement off?), Sarah Jessica Parker & Matthew Broderick (trial separation?), while other fire signs – Leos and Sags come under scrutiny too.

Mercury retrograde is sure to throw a big spanner in the cosmic works too – affecting Gemini’s, Taureans the most as he travels out of phase in these 2 signs. Were sure to see many misquotes in magazines and papers and retractions being issued here there and everywhere as well with Mercury out of phase. Saturn, the planet of focus and discipline finally moves direct in Virgo May 17. This will jump starts Virgos, Pisces and to a lesser extent the other earth and water signs too. It won’t happen overnight though so rather than speculate, let’s just wait and see what Saturn’s forward movement brings with it.

So May is set to be a dramatic month for sure with some sort of passionate/unexpected event occurring which takes us all by surprise (but kinda not – because we are talking about celebrities after all)
