This sounds like a very difficult if not dangerous situation that you have found yourself in. Nobody should have to put up with any form of abuse. There is a saying "nothing changes if nothing changes" it has been eight years now and you would be pretty safe to assume that he is not going to change. Most women sometimes men stay in these abusive types of relationships because they feel they have no option or support or way out. But you have another opportunity that has presented itself. I would never tell you what to do but look into your heart and ask yourself do I really want to put up with this any longer? Unfortunately we are out of space.
