Considered to be “Britain’s Best-loved Psychic”, Sally Morgan is now suing the publisher of the Daily Mail for 150,000 euros. This was after saying that her reputation, along with other self-proclaimed psychics, was allegedly ruined. The report said she was just using trickery when talking with the dead.
The article, written by Paul Zenon who is a former magician and psychic as well, may have damaged her reputation that led her to filing the lawsuit. However, it is also quite interesting to note that after that article was printed, some organizations in the UK were quick enough to offer Morgan one million dollars plus the chance to clear her name by going for a test. And yet, the psychic refused the offer. People now start to wonder why she now filed the lawsuit.
The test in the one million-dollar offer was simple as it involves the same process she uses when she goes onstage. It was designed by Professor Chris French, Simon Singh, and the James Randi Educational Foundation (JREF).
It is also interesting to note that the James Randi Educational Foundation has been vigilant since 1996 in offering a million dollars to any psychic to prove their powers. And of course, all of the subjects have refused to take the test saying that they do not use their powers for financial gain and that they do not need the money at all.
