Hardin, Texas- There were no bodies found at a Texas farmhouse where police searched after a man claiming to be a psychic said multiple dead bodies were buried in the area.
There was not a single sign or indication that bodies were buried anywhere in the rural property which is about 70 miles northeast of Houston. This was according to Liberty County Sheriff’s Capt. Rex Evans.
According to officials, the Sheriff’s office received two calls from a person who said that dismembered bodies may be found. The authorities with Evans took the tip seriously since the caller was able to describe the interior of the place which could only be done by someone who has actually gone inside it.
The good thing is that the police got the name and number of the caller and that the authorities are tracking him down. When they were asked if the tip is a hoax, he said that there was really no indication that a homicide occurred there.
“We are going to continue our investigation and find out how this individual had this information in the first place,” said Evans.
Until the caller is questioned and the district attorney is consulted, no decision on charges may be made against the caller.
No bodies were found after the police searched the place on Monday night. However, the next morning, they got another call from the same caller who said they got the wrong house.
Liberty County Judge Craig McNair said that deputies found blood on a back door and also detected a foul odor coming from the house. This led to the issuance of a search warrant.
