“(Kidder’s father) said he had spoken to someone-a psychic, actually- that suggested that we needed to renew our efforts and look in another direction for his son. His body hasn’t been found, so I said I would do anything I could,” said Sheriff Bobby Guidroz of St. Landry Parish.
The Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Guidroz while the Patterson Police department was enlisted to the search as it has “one of the best cadaver dogs” in the state. The dog will be used to sniff the area for tips.
This week, the agencies went out to the Pointe Coupee and searched through the area. As the cadaver dog was able to sniff methane, the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab and LSU Anthropology Department were immediately contacted to conduct probe and digging in the area.
Though there was no body found, Guidroz still believes that there will be more tips that will come in the next days.
“We’re back at square one, but I’ll tell you, anytime a parent or a concerned loved one says, “A psychic gave me this information. Will you please exhaust this?” I will, because it’s hope for the family,” he said.
Guidroz has much faith in psychic as once before, he worked for an investigation and a psychic’s tip proved helpful to breaking the case.
