One of Australia’s most prominent psychics and spirit mediums claims to have unexpectedly made contact with Corryn Rayney a year after her death. WA police have asked her for help in the investigation of the young mother’s unsolved murder
Rayney vanished after a dance class at Bentley Community Centre on August 7, 2007. Her silver Ford Fairmont was found abandoned in Kershaw St, Subiaco, while her body was found a week later in a bush grave at Kings Park.
During the investigation, policed named Rayney’s husband — prominent lawyer Lloyd Rayney — as the prime and only suspect. Lloyd Rayney has denied these accusations and is suing the police.
The psychic first got in contact with Corryn Rayney last September while working on a serial killer case in Perth.
She showed me that she drove a silver vehicle and that she was extremely upset about her children,” the psychic wrote in her book. “She then began to show me how she had died and I felt a very sudden pain in the right-hand side of my head.
According to the psychic the police gave her Rayney’s diary as an “energy source.” The psychic uses psychometry, where she communicates with those who have passed away to see the past, present and the future. In addition to the diary, the psychic says detectives also took her to Subiaco and Kings Park.
Detectives have yet to reveal the cause of death or information about Rayney’s injuries. Additionally, the psychic was reluctant about sharing the details of her discovery as it might compromise the investigation.
Meanwhile, WA Police spokesman Neil Stanbury says: “WA Police does not use psychics or seek their services. However, if any person contacts police with what they believe is important information about a crime we will consider what they have to provide.”
