“I’m afraid of mankind; I’m not afraid of dead folks,” says Concetta Bertoldi. At age 55, she has been making a living talking and getting messages from dead people.
Bertoldi has written the books, “Do Dead People Watch You Shower?” in 2008 and then recently released her follow up entitled, “Do Dead People Walk Their Dogs?”. And because she is more afraid of the living ones, she has installed in her 3-acre home a security system. It is believed that her property used to be an American Indian burial ground. When she acquired the house, she scared the owner by saying that it was her dead brother who led her to the house.
Her dead brother, Harold, had already been dead for 20 years due to AIDS. He was only 38 years old. However, the psychic said she had already seen the death coming some twenty years before that. She just tried to disregard the voices in her mind.
As a scared little girl, Bertoldi told her father of the voices she heard. She was then told to just wait until she was ready deal with the dead. And for that time, she was told to command the spirits, in God’s name, to go away. Gratefully, the spirits obliged to her command.
She eventually graduated from high school and wished nothing more than have a family and children. She became the step mother of her husband’s two children.
“My family understood my ability, but there were always people along the way who made fun of me for who I was because I was a little bit different than the norm,” said the psychic.
