Paterson relates the story which happened in a bar back in 2007. Never did he expect anything like this to happen. A woman, who claimed to have psychic powers, came up to him and said that his aura was in transition. Not believing the psychic’s statement at first, he answered, “My aura is in transition because my blood alcohol level is going up.”

With that, the woman retorted and told Paterson not to mock her. Then she continued by asking the man if he ever had an idea of how he may promoted. Since Paterson gave the wrong answer, the psychic said, “I think you will become governor.”

Paterson wanted to laugh at her lines thinking it was outrageous. But something made him think that there was something serious with the woman. In just a few months, as though fate would take it, the then governor, Eliot Spitzer, resigned after being caught up in a prostitution scandal. Accordingly, and making the prediction true, Paterson became governor of the state of New York.

From that time on, Mr. Paterson did not see the psychic ever again. But he adds that there are times when he suddenly thinks about her.

Mr. Paterson, himself, thinks that his story is fantastic and may not sound realistic to people. But then, he experienced it himself. “People tell me these stories and I laugh at them. But it actually did happen,” said the new governor.
