Believing that too many fake psychics are stripping people off their money and properties, Bob Nygaard, a Manhattan private eye and law enforcement pro for already thirty years, devotes himself to helping put a stop to these schemes. When he hears of people coming to the police for help after having been duped by fraudulent psychics, he offers his help. While some of his cases are charged a flat rate, many others cases are pro bono.
“This is truly organized crime. These are ruthless people,” says Nygaard.
Among the cases that Nygaard has already solved include that of Sylvia Mitchell who has allegedly scammed $120,000 from a Singapore-native woman whom she promised to rid of the bad spirits around her.
Additionally, he has also put a closure to the case involving Celia Mitchell, another psychic, who got $200,000 for duping two men. One of these men was Jamal Vann who was promised by Celia Mitchell to be reunited with his girlfriend using her psychic powers. For that, she was able to grab hold of $66,000 from Jamal Vann.
Nygaard says that what the psychics are doing is just giving false hopes to the poor victims.
However, many foes are trying to discredit the man. For one, the lawyer representing Sylvia Mitchell is saying that Nygaard is a “self-driven promoter” who is just trying to make money.
It is not wrong to believe in psychics. However, you have to be extra careful in choosing who you come to. Once they start making promises which are too good to be true, then that means they are fake. Remember that these psychics are only human beings too and they cannot make things happen or prevent things from happening. They cannot bring back a lost love or anything like that.
