It may be recalled that a TV psychic named Graham Bishop had graced the covers of newspapers when the story broke out that he stabbed his twin daughters. He appeared in court yesterday for his arraignment; however, he pleaded not guilty to the crime. It was known from his attorney that they would use for the defense Bishop’s case of temporary insanity saying that at the moment the crime was committed, his client had suffered an attack of temporary insanity.
It was also known that Bishop was in crutches when he entered the courthouse. He also had several bruises and seemed battered with his self-inflicted wounds after the attack last Sunday.
Bishop used to appear on Danish reality shows and claim that he has the ability to talk to spirits. He also says a certain “Dr. Karl” possesses him and enables him to cure illnesses of those who come to him and seek his help. Bishop is actually from Denmark who moved to England in 2000.
After he stabbed his twin daughters, one of them had to receive long-term treatment at the Rigshospital’s pediatric department. When police were alerted and responded to the scene, they saw Bishop stab himself, after he stabbed his twin daughters, and then jump out the window.
The wife, who is considerably younger than Bishop, said that what triggered the attack was when she told her husband that she wanted a divorce.
