CHAT POLICY

Here you will find the procedures which all chatters are expected to follow in the chat rooms.

The Universal Psychic Guild Public chat room is a place for all to come and receive welcoming and friendly guidance.

General guidelines

• You must register a nickname and password in order to access the chat room. It is free to join.
• Scheduled Chat Events will be conducted in the "Psychic Online Chat" room which may be moderated and logged. Please use the "Freechat" room for all non-scheduled chat.
• Please do not use rude, offensive or discriminatory language or behaviour. If the psychic/moderator believes that you are abusing the room, you may be kicked from the room, or even banned.
• NO SPAMMING or ADVERTISING allowed. You will be kick or banned from the chat room if this occurs. This includes soliciting customers for payment or promoting other or related Psychic Chat Rooms, Psychic websites, Psychic services other than Universal Psychic Guild.

Security

• Please take precautions when providing your personal details to chatters who are not from the Universal Psychic Guild.

Procedure for Scheduled Chat Events

• When a Universal Psychic Guild operator is online in the chat room for a scheduled event, you will be able to ask questions that you would like answered.
  
  
• Chat events usually last for 1-2 hours. The time of the event will be posted as US Eastern Time. Click here for Australian Time
  
  
• Psychics and Moderators can be identified in the Who's Online list (located on the right hand side of the chat window)) by the '@' symbol before their name.
  
  
• During a scheduled chat session, please keep additional chat which is not related to the discussion topic to a minimum (use the ‘whisper’ option to communicate to others) so that the Psychic can focus.
  
  
• The Psychic/Moderator will let you know when they are ready to take your questions. It varies from reader to reader, but generally, the Psychic or Moderator will call on you when it is your turn.
  
  
• When the chat room is busy, Please do not ask more than 2 questions. If you ask too many questions, it will be considered as "flooding the chat room" and you may be kicked from the room.
  
  
• If the chat room is not busy, then you will be given the opportunity to ask more questions once everyone else has had their question answered.
  
  
• If you require a more in depth response, or was unable to get a reading during the scheduled chat session, the psychic may suggest that you call to speak to an operator or that you purchase a reading by email. Below are details on how you can do this:

Guidelines for Visitors Providing Readings

• Readings by Visitors may only be performed during the following times*:
  • Wednesdays 12:01AM-11.59PM US Eastern Time [convert]
  • Saturdays 12:01AM-11.59PM US Eastern Time [convert]

  * With the exception if one of the mediums gets spirit of loved one with message for one of the members, they will give that message regardless of the day of the week.

• Visitors can do readings in the chat room for spiritual growth only. E.g. if they wish to develop their psychic abilities, and all in good faith with genuine desire to help others. However, Universal Psychic Guild does not endorse readings by non-Universal Psychic Guild readers. We advise chatters to be wary of non-Universal Psychic Guild readers and to take extra care when providing your personal details. We also advise that you make your own decisions as to the accuracy of the readings and the intentions of the reader. To protect yourself, if you require guidance, please use one of our services such as an email reading or wait until the next scheduled chat session.
  
  
• Visitors who perform readings may not solicit our customers by asking them to go to other Psychic websites, Psychic chat rooms or, or ask for monetary payments for performing readings. Please report offenders to the moderator or to customer service and they will be kicked/banned from the room.
  
  
• When there is a scheduled chat session, no readings may be performed unless the psychic has given permission for other readings to be done. As the psychic has taken the time to come in, discuss and answer questions, then they deserve to have your full attention.
