Compromise is necessary in any relationships. When two people come together, you need to mold into a package that compliments each other, and a package that also feels comfortable. Most of this should happen naturally, but of course, there is give and take that happens for this unique molding of a relationship to fit together comfortably. However, you need to feel ok about how much you give and you also need to feel that the give and take is somewhat equal on both sides; otherwise you can become resentful that you are doing all of, or most of the work.

There is no right or wrong here, it is whatever feels right for each relationship, and once this is worked out, the rest is easy, well relatively easy! Also, keep in mind that it is the uniqueness of two people, which is the special part of the coming together, it is the individual characteristics of two people that make a union so amazing, so don’t be quick to eliminate the differences you have between you.
