Is your partner an outrageous Flirt?

If your guy or gal outrageously flirts with other people, it could mean a few things.

1. It could be a habit, and they may not know how much they do it.

2. They may need the attention to feel good about themselves

3. They may not be aware that they are hurting you, especially if you have not said anything; they may think their behavior is all–ok.

4. If they are aware that they are being flirtatious, then they are simply being incredibly insensitive to your feelings.

What to do? In the first instance, you need to let him or her know how you feel about their behavior. If it is upsetting to you, or you feel it is disrespectful, maybe it is setting up a trust issue, whatever it is you feel, you need to speak up and let them know, and be forward about asking them to modify their behavior.

If they then do make changes in their behavior, then great, mission accomplished. If they don't, then it may mean that they will never change and no amount of cajoling from you will make them change what they do, and in this case you will either need to accept that this is the way that person is, or decide that it is unacceptable and move on.
