How to get over a break–up?

Here are 5 ways for you to help ease love heartache.
1. If you are hurt and in anguish, then you are only seeing the good parts of the relationship and what you have lost, the happy memories. To bring your perception back into balance, write a list of all the bad, annoying and downright irritating things your ex did.

2. Now right a list of all the things you learnt about yourself from being in the relationship and write a thank you letter, a letter that is for your eyes only, to your ex for the personal growth and awareness you gained from being with him or her.

3. Cease contact, and mix in new circles so you are not constantly reminded of them.

4. Keep busy, don’t dwell on the past, find things to do that you enjoy. Be nice to yourself.

5. Don’t keep talking about it. Every time you tell someone else what went wrong, what he or she did , what you did, you re–run those old tapes and the wound opens up again, you don’t give yourself a chance to heal and move on, you get stuck in that spot.
