1. You have to take a stand, if your partner continues to say he or she will cease and they do not, and you keep allowing them to mistreat you, then they will continue to do it.

2. You teach people how to treat you, and the longer you allow someone to do the wrong thing by you, you are subliminally telling them it is ok.

3. You do need to remove yourself from the abuser.

4. It is important to make a plan, and be ready to put it into action, but don’t tell your partner or anyone who does not need to know what you plan of action is, just get organized and get ready to make a move.

5. See professional help. Your partner may say they will go get help, but they may mean it at the time, but what if they do not follow through? If this is the case, you need to look after yourself and go get help yourself and advice of what you can do to protect yourself.

You deserve to be treated right, don’t settle for anything less, you have the power to change your life.
