Why is it hard for other people to accept the New You?

We are creatures of habit, and when we or someone else in our life makes changes to the way they are, we can have a reluctance to accept the new person. What we know, is a far more comfortable place to be in than to open our hearts and soul to what we don’t know. Here’s a few suggestions of how you can to help people accept the new you.

1. Assure them, even though you are different in appearance, attitude or what you do, your connection and feelings for them have now changed.

2. Try to keep some normality between you and them with what you do on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.

3. Speak for your heart; tell them exactly how you feel.

4. Ask questions. Do more listening than talking.

5. Relationships change. Sometimes it’s just time to move on. At other times, only one person has to change for the dynamic between two people can change, but that doesn’t mean your feelings have changed.
Be clear about what you want to achieve, what outcome you want, and once you have this clarity, everything can fall into place.
