Something I've just stumbled upon.. the ancient Druids came up with a certain type of astrology based off of trees. They beleieved that we are descendants of trees, and each tree represents gods and goddesses. This is pretty neat.. a natural twist on astrology. heres the tree signs:

The Birch: December 24- January 20.
The Rowan: Jan 21- Feb 17
The Ash: Feb 18- March 17
The Alder: Marsh 18- April 14
The Willow: April 15- May 12
The Hawthorne: May 13- June 9
The Oak: June 10- July 7
The Holly: July 8- August 4
The Hazel: August 5- September 1
The Vine: Septmber 2- Septmeber 29
The Ivy: Sept 30- Oct 27
The Reed: Oct 28- Nov 24
The Elder: Nov 25- Dec 23.

I got a reading on my sign, Ivy. It's really neat, they give you info on career, personality, love. and they also have a stone, color, animal, flower, etc. to go with each sign. But unfortunately I don't know much about the other tree signs because they weren't in my report of course! I'll try to research a bit and add some information here. I thought it would be neat to show this to you all, maybe you could tell me your tree sign and what you think your tree represents.. or what any of the trees that you may like represent for that matter =P

I'll start by saying that when I saw that I was Ivy i laughed. they have a bit of a sting and can suffocate and kill other plants. Makes me think it's the scorpio of the tree signs. smile.gif

i'm adding this link that i found. it should be acceptable, no companies affiliated with it: http://www.novareinna.com/constellation/celtic.html

Because it is a calender of 13 signs it is wise to check which one you are on the actual site I would have said I was one sign for my month but it turns out to be another. A very interesting read actually. Struck a chord with me too. I'll be having a closer look later but I was really quite impressed. Thank you very much for this link. smile.gif
