For ages I've identified as a Virgo but my mum made an interesting point to me....

.....Seeming I was born three months premature, I was 'supposed' to be born in December. If I was born then that would make me Sagittarius.

Does anyone have any insight? I'm a little confused.

I'm pretty sure it's at the time you are born ... If it wasn't, we could all argue that our true starsign was the time we were conceived

to put it simply, you're born when you're supposed to be born...

your sign is supposed to reflect the planets on your first breath on this earth which is why those supposed dates wouldn't matter... (our breathing is sort of a reflection of our creation/the world) and besides, you were born when you were born for a reason!!

But there are other things in your chart that can make you identify more with another sign, such as a heavily aspected moon or rising sign, or a clump of planets in one sign.
