I was wondering what everyone's opinion on this is...

Do you believe that perhaps being born prematurely, or even being born late can put you under the wrong sign? I was thinking that maybe the date you were born may not be what determines your astrological personality, but maybe the date you were concieved? Or maybe it is the date you were born...I'm not totally sure how astrology works. And I know that your personality can be determined more by what time you were born and in what part of the world, not so much as just the day and month.

I was thinking about how my ex is a capricorn, but thinking about it he displays none of the traits of a capricorn. I don't know the time he was born, so I don't know his moon or rising signs. Anyway, he was born 3 months premature.


Anyone else think that maybe the date you were concieved may affect astrological traits more than the birthday???

The fact that your ex is in this situation may help answer the question.

I don't really know what the traits of an Aries is supposed to be. My mom is an aries, I guess what I've read about the sign matches her, but not him really at all. He's more pisces-ish. From what a gather about that sign.

I was reading my psychology book (there was some part about why intellegent people are gullible..haha) and it posed the question "Does birthdate have anything to do with your astrological traits? What if a baby was born early via c-section? Does it have more to do with the date they were concieved?" Basically the same exact question I was asking. Very interesting.

Actually according to that book, the way the placement of planets and stars has changed in our skies over the last 2,000 years would make a taurus a gemini now, a gemini a cancer, and so on. Its very interesting.

I was born 28th July and I am definitely a Leo! I think your star sign is the day you were born.

I third this. My oldest son was induced 2 weeks early making him a Scorpio, he should of been a Sagittarius and my oldest daughter was 6-8 weeks early born under Cancer. Should had been a Virgo. They both are their Sun signs.

But my Uncle, a Gemini has more Cancer traits cause of his chart having so much Cancer in many of his planets.
Oh I also was 3 months early and am Cancer, on the Leo cusp, if you do them. But have Cancer in Five of the Nine Planets, making me what is called a True Cancer.

I am sure we are born when we should be and no time before or after.

Oddly enough my youngest child was born on the day my oldest son was due originally December 3rd.

In my opinion, you are born when you are meant to be - even if it's medically assisted.

I think that being born prematurely or being born late puts you to a sign you are meant to be in. I think that we know who we are before we are born, and that we choose our lives, and as such we choose our birth days, prior to being born.

I am a Libra with Leo rising and Scorpio moon, interestingly enough if I had not been born late I would have been a Virgo which from what I know of my life would not have fit me well. If you understand the signs mentioned in their placement, and how they blend together than you are more likely to understand me than even those who grew up with me, as I was very surprised to learn that I tend be somewhat true to the signs of my birth chart.

I think in the case of your ex it is very possible that he has strong influence from his moon and rising.

It is not solely our sun signs which define us, but rather a blend of the Sun, Rising, and Moon, and there are times when those signs are in conflict with each other, in fact I am with a man who is Capricorn, and there are times when he is much more like the Taurus Rising than he is like the Capricorn he was born to.

if your premature, that means the universe is just saying "hang on.... you have to go here!" lol
