ima startin a new project!! in my free time, I'm gonna try and see if i can get the nack of reading astrology charts

if anyone has any advice or helpful, important tips, please let me know!!

the site i went on said that you cant go straight onto charts.... lol. soo no charts yet haha.

i sorta know SOME stuff. like Scorpio and Virgo lol. Scorpio, coz in my english lesson i had to find a name for the scorpion (anyone heard of The night of the Scorpion? ) and Virgo, well because I am a virgo!!

Hi I was able to sign out an astrology "kit" from the middle school I worked at, cant remember the name-will try to track it down.
It took me 4 hours to chart out my family but now I know the rising, acsending signs and a whole bunch of very useful info.
It was fun doing it too!

Astrology is broken down into three groups: Signs, planets, and houses.


Think of it like a play.

The planet is the actor in the play, the sign is the role that the actor is playing, and the house is the setting that the action is taking place.

Each sign, planet and house is connected to each other.

like this:

1st house- Aries- Mars
2nd house- Taurus- Venus
3rd house- Gemini- Mercury
4th house- Cancer- Moon
5th house- Leo- Sun
6th house- Virgo- Mercury
7th house- Libra- Venus
8th house- Scorpio- Pluto/mars
9th house- Sagittarius- Jupiter
10th house- Capricorn- Saturn
11th house- Aquarius- uranus/ saturn
12th house- Pisces- Neptune/jupiter.

this is something that you might want to get familiar with. If you have a basic understanding of each sign, you will also come to be familiar with the planets and houses energies.

Then you just have to tie it all together.

Take for example Mercury in scorpio in the first house.

Mercury is the act of our thoughts/ communication. Scorpio is the expression of power, tranformation, mystery, and extremes. The first house is the area of self-expression and identity.

This would all add up as a person who gains a sense of self identity through thinking and speaking in extreme, deep ways. They might be contsantly transforming their viewpoints and their modes of communication and expression.

Now lets say that this mercury in scorpio configuration was conjunct pluto.

The conjunction to pluto will give a lot of strength. Pluto is in its own sign in scorpio. This will give someone an added sense of transformation, for the better or worse. A strong will, ability to subtley read people's hidden motives, and sometimes leading to destructive thoughts and a secretive nature.

Now lets say this mercury/ pluto conjunction is opposing the moon in taurus in the seventh house.

The moon represents our action of emotional needs and inner instincts. in taurus it is a sensual, more forward and blunt sign/role. It is a need for emotional support on a basic, material level. Opposite of scorpio, it is not deep and unkown but more on the surface and beauty of things. Level-headed regard to relationships (the seventh house rules relationships.) This person will have a struggle between their deep thoughts in relation to self, and their more upfront needs from their relationships with others. They might become a loner, overly independent in their secretive mind. Not opening up their dark self and appear to others to be rigid, blunt, and explosive. With work, they also have the ability to transform others through opening up their deep mind and expressing it in a willing and lovingly, material- driven way.

I hope this makes sense. It might be overwhelming all at once. I'm not sure how familiar you are with the terminology. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

It is easiet to learn the houses, asigns, and planets, in key words and symbols.

and the next step would be aspects (conjunctions, sextiles, and trines are harmonius. squares and oppositions are conflicting)

Astrology is something that takes a lot of time to fully understand. You can pick it up quick, but it will come with a life time of analyzing and learning in more depth. a very fun past time. Remember to take it slow in first trying to learn. i have a few good astrology teaching websites, it you are interested =)
