On July 22 there will be a total solar eclipse that will be visible from India and China. Do Solar Eclipses have any astrological significance?

I've read that eclipses can severely effect a person astrologically. When I read about my sign, it says that an eclipse is coming, and that my bonds with others will be tested. I'll have to really hang onto my head, and, in the end of it, I'll rid myself of all the people who are unnecessary to me.

So if my readings are right, then yes, they have a big effect. Which is scary, because apparently there are a lot of eclipses this year!!

It's a pity I won't be able to see it. They're marvelous to witness, just for the artistry of the event.

Yes, I've only seen 1 when I was in kindergarten, and I did not know what I was seeing because I was so young. I just thought it was night time, and I said to my teacher "oh wow we're here in school at night? Why are we here at night?" and she just smiled. That's all I really remember, I hardly even remember what it looks like. Except the many times eclipses are on TV and movies.

the final phase isnt complete, the new moon on solstice june22 is on same date numerically as this one. but on the 6th of august their is a lunar eclipse that ties the two together.

I have never seen an eclipse in my life. Actually, I think I've seen the one where the moon goes red/orange, but no solar eclipse (or was it lunar?) I'm curious as to what the significance of eclipses are. Maybe they represent "things coming together" - of, like, change. Maybe of collective consciousness. Maybe.

i'v always wanted to see a solar eclips, tho the lunar on was cool! er i think it was lunar, the whole red moon thing? anyone know when we will see one in the US?

In March 2012 there will be a total solar eclipse that could be seen on the west coast of the US. Yeah the red moon is the lunar eclipse.

Yes it is apparently not a very strong lunar eclipse that will be able to be seen in the UK and other countries along that longitude. The bottom part of the moon will appear to disappear I think.

Well I remembered that I would say something about this, so let me say something about this.

Years ago my boyfriend and I went to visit one of his friends for a weekend, and the experience in a way had a magical feel to it. Me and this friend really hit it off and had a blast, and I feel like I learned a lot that weekend. One of the nights we were outside rough housing as boys do, and the sky had been cloudy, but suddenly the clouds cleared to reveal a lunar eclipse in progress. Because clouds covered most of the other stars, the eclipse made the whole area turn pitch dark, it was really something else. Anyway I personally mark that weekend as a time of great change in my life and coincidentally there was also a full eclipse that night!

In certain cultures, evil spirits come out during the eclipse. It is not advised to conceive a child on the night of a solar eclipse. This comes from master Chunyi Lin!
