Hi all,

One of my mums family members was really psychic, does anyone think it could have been passed down to me, not a lot but just a little of psychic energy?

I dont think I am in the right mind set but I am medatating and I also seem to get stressed easly is there anyway to block stress out?

Also because I am not in the right mind set and get stressed easy that might be blocking the ability that I could have.

Hi ArronZ,

I believe everyone is psychic as some minimum level of intuition is essential for survival. Almost everyone admits to having "gut feelings" from time-to-time. Using intuition, empathy or psychic abilities is like any other endeavour as most will have to work at it to develop and discover what they are capable of.

It isn't required to have a family member who is psychic though it does help if your family-of-origin is accepting of Extrasensory Perception and Paranormal activity.

So the answer to your question is: If you're personally interested in the topic, then pursue it with abandon and learn all you can.

I agree stress makes it more difficult and a logical first step would be mastering relaxation techniques and meditation as well as developing healthy ways of coping with stressors (e.g., vigorous exercise, power-walking, eating healthier, massage therapy, acupuncture, caring for a pet, etc.).

Hey Arronz,

I can attest to what Lady is saying. I have a strong interest in the area and I do NOT have any psychics in my family. My mother was spiritual if you'd like to call it that but not psychic. And I've had quite a few moments that I feel confirm my psychic ability to myself. (Because ultimately that's who I really need to prove it to, Me.)

Also meditation is Wonderful for relieving stress, it's what has allowed me to move away from drama and move to living. smile.gif

Hey Lady, do you know who says "If you can conceive it, you can achieve it."? That's how I feel about being psychic and living happily biggrin.gif

If you need assistance in any way you're in the right forum. happy.gif

That would be Napoleon Hill -- motivational speech pioneer and author of Think and Grow Rich,

Were you feeling angry, upset, etc. (a negative emotion) when you wrote this? Got a bit of an ache in my 3rd eye
(although my energy really has been confusing me as of late)

Anywho - I believe that you are indeed quite psychic but maybe the block is something you don't realise about your true beliefs/feelings on it... what does your father think about "psychic stuff"
ArronZ100
I was tired when I wrote this thread yesterday, also my dad has passed on, he passed away when I was 14 or 15 years old he had a heart attack, I dont think he was very fond on spirtual stuff but my mum is in to spirtul stuff she uses tarot cards.
Chiili
Thanks Lady biggrin.gif I knew you would know wink.gif

Arronz I looooove tarot cards. I really feel like they were the tool that helped me understand the psychic images I would get. Sometimes the images would be confusing and I used to let them slide. But the tarot cards really helped me realize that sometimes the one card/image that you don't understand is the one the carries key to the answer you're looking for. smile.gif

And it's pretty cool that your mom reads tarot you can always ask her questions and work on your intuition with someone as well. smile.gif

That said I think Coleb has a point, sometimes a certain associations with spirituality can hinder your progress. If there is anything that your father expressed when you were a child it can definitely have an impact on you later. For me, my mother's practices weren't something I agreed with and so I had alot of ideas that she inadvertently put into my mind that i had to work through. Nonetheless, being aware of it will definitely help to prevent it from impeding your progress.

My mum doesnt have time to answer any questions or help me, she seems weird because ever since I mentioned me wanting to be a psychic she just wasnt willing to help.

I am not wanting to be a psychic for my self, I want to help other people have a happy life.
Chiili
Poopy sad.gif Have you asked her why?

Hmm oh well C'est la vie happy.gif

Either way you're in the right place. smile.gif We'll help you if you need it. There's a wealth of info on the site and very intelligent and positive people to boot. If you're not sure do as you just did, Ask. wink.gif

There was 1 question what just popped in my mind and it is, when I medatate do I remove all thoughts or do I have to try and focus on something?
Chiili
It's kinda both actually. When you focus on one thing it makes you remove all thoughts. Like if you focus on your breath or relaxing your body you'll soon realize that you're not thinking of other things but that.

If you force yourself to not think of something, the resistance will probably come with the same force. Just let it fade into the background as you focus on something. OOh you just made me think of something. biggrin.gif

Since we all learn differently via say auditory (hearing), visual (seeing), or kinesthetic (feel/touch)you may want to consider using your best learning method to help you. like if you're auditory it may help to focus on a word like Om, peace, love whatever suits you (preferably without to many syllables to start lol biggrin.gif ), for visual maybe a mandala, or watching clouds or the way water flows, and for kinesthetic the breath and/or focusing on relaxing from head to toe. In any event, try to avoid lying down cuz you're more likely to fall asleep. but if its at your bed time by all means lie down, it's good deep sleep wink.gif
ArronZ100
Ok thanks for the advice I will try and also when I medatate I usally sit on my bed with my legs folded and my arms on my legs, also when I medatate I only see black is that good or bad? but sometimes images tend to float in but very faintly.
Chiili
As long as you are comfortable and can maintain that position without discomfort I think you should be fine.

Black is not bad, if you're doing this at night, you may be perceiving what is past your eyelids. What I like to do is imagine a screen. It'll look like a movie screen or an empty picture frame or a white board. Now a days it's turned into a white stage, it's different for everybody and most use what works best for them. The least complicated at first the better because that way you don't have to feel like you're struggling to keep up this idea.

Hey maybe for you you're looking at a television! biggrin.gif It's black when it's off right? biggrin.gif Just turn it on to plain white 'picture.' wink.gif Except this time you have a remote control in your hand and all you have to do is ask your controller to give you a clear image and just flip through the channels till you find the right station biggrin.gif lol that sounds like fun I might just try that ha ha ha laugh.gif hmm come to think of it in some readings I have LOL it's just wasn't off rolleyes.gif silly me.

Or you can imagine it like a laptop or your iphone (lol if you have one, everyone but me seems to have one these days biggrin.gif ). grab the image and zoom in if you have to, or brighten the screen. Have fun with it and do what works bests for you. In the beginning however, for whatever this screen will be, imagine that it has a white frame that has a connection to God above and the Earth below. It'll help keep things positive and channel anything that needs to be grounded to the earth so that it can be transmuted back into light for later. smile.gif

What you may want to consider trying is creating your meditative home so to speak. Imagine a place where you feel peaceful and secure that has good lighting and a nice comfy seat. You can make it as grand or as simple as you like. This will be your go to place. It could be a beach, a garden, a rooftop, the Taj Mahal hey even your bedroom as long as it's free from unnecessary distractions. From there when you take a seat rest for a moment be there and enjoy the peacefulness of it. Take a walk around and get to know your space from top to bottom. Once you have that you can use it as a jump off to more advance techniques. Then if you feel like it look at your screen and see what you receive. Or you can program it to send something like a goal. I gave Malick a couple tips on visualizations in "Abilities..." check there if you can (so i don't have to repost it cuz boy I can talk biggrin.gif )

Above all, enjoy it! happy.gif

Your mum is human too and she is just a bit leery about the idea of having a competitor so close to her. I know you don't have it in your mind to enter a competition but we, human beings, have our own frailties and weak points and your mum is no different.
