Hello everyone! smile.gif

I have some questions from the day my Mom passed away. She kept a large token-about the size of a fifty cent piece in her pocket for good luck. It had some symbols on it, but I can't remember what they were.

Anyway, it came up missing when she died. My sister seems to think she was carrying it on her & someone stole it. We have searched high & low, but have never been able to find it. I know it is long gone, but I would just like to know if ykwim. sad.gif

We also do not know what my Mom passed from as my Dad did not want to do an autopsy, but I have had dreams in which she mentions her heart doesn't hurt anymore. I wonder if that is accurate or my wanting an answer that is making me dream like that.

I hope I posted this in the right section.

I think your wanting an answer is definitely making you dream like that; but it doesn't mean the answer is false!

Unfortunately some people (crooked medical staff) take advantage of the moment and actually steal from the dead.

You say your dad didn't want an autopsy, but was your mom legally pronounced dead by the coroner? If she died at home then I say get the name of anyone who came to your house to either view the body or remove it (for burial or to begin the burial process).

File a complaint (or at the very least start asking people, preferrably non-family members, if they saw the coin) because I get the feeling that the coin was stolen and the person who took it knows it might be worth some money.

Sorry for your loss.

Thank you Dot & Tina!

My Mom had passed out at home and my Dad found her laying on the floor when he came inside from working. He said she moaned when asked if she could hear him. He called the medics and they worked on her for awhile. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

We kept hoping that the coin would turn up, but it never has. I also forgot to mention this was in 2004-not sure if the date would have any significance or not.
