Hi there,

I'm 26 and have been working as a web developer for 6 years now. Due to a lot of stress and becoming sick of sitting in front of the computer all day, I've decided to quit. Actually I wanted to quit for a long time but was too scared as I couldn't decide what else to do.

Now I've made the decision but still don't know what else to do. Friends think I'm crazy as it's well paid and the work environment is reasonably friendly compared to many other office places. But my heart is just not in it and I began to feel like a walking zombie.

I was wondering whether I should visit a psychic in the hope they could give me some advice on a new career. I'm spending a lot of time looking at different courses etc but don't feel much closer to a choice. Perhaps a pyschic could give insight into what I'd be good at?

I've been thinking about - massage therapist, photographer, naturopath/natural health, animal care, horticulture/gardening. I know! all over the place..

I'm a virgo and my birthdate is 11 Sep 1983, which makes me a 'water pig' in chinese astrology.

Congratulations for following your heart. You have taken a courageous step. dance.gif

A good way to approach this dilemma is to list your skills... what are you really good at?

And to work out what would not feel like work on Monday morning! What do you love doing?

What requirements make up the picture of your perfect career?

Put it all together and ... voila! That is what you should be doing.

I agree with Victoria's approach in choosing a career. Think about what you're passionate about, and what wouldn't feel like a job to you. I feel like any of the choices that you've list would be something you'd enjoy. smile.gif But it's ultimately up to you... you're in control smile.gif

Maybe not so all over the place! If you worked in natural health you could incorporate massage, gardening (growing own natural products), you could include animal care and your photography and web design skills would help you to promote your work and perhaps give it an extra feature.

You could combine animal care with photography - pet grooming and pet photography - to start with whilst you get qualifications to help you work towards your other goals.

This isnt psychic advice, just suggestions. smile.gif
