My Moon is in Aries.... so I'll start it off. What are your thoughts on the meaning of the Moon sign in a birth chart??

if i remember this right.... don't we start off with traits of our moon... and work towards the traits of our sunsigns??? i think... so i'm a goat trying to be a fish.... interesting concept

Moon will show how we respond to others, and will also show how we feel emotionally. I also have Aries Moon. This might suggest that I would respond to others by expressing or feeling my emotions brazenly and forcefully. Once out in the open, things soon calm down. I also feel that in a heterosexual man's chart, Moon could also be considered along with Venus to help determine what type of partner I would seek out in romance??

I believe the moon signs are who we are emotionally; our self-image; and that couldn't be more correct for me!! I've my moon in Cancer...I'll say no more...haha!!

I usually associated the Moon sign with the first few years of life - the preverbal ones - probably up to about 4 when most people learn to communicate clearly.

The Sun sign represents what we want (who we are at an ego level),
The Moon sign represents our needs (and our emotional nature),
and our Rising Sign/Ascendant represents the mask we wear in order to get these things!

There are many other meanings associated with these parts of a birth chart as well, but these are some core meanings that I use.

I'm a Taurus with an Aquarius moon, this is some combination. I'm typical Taurus, but at times I find myself attracted to and getting along with Gemini, Libras, my Taurus gets along with Capricorn, Virgo, Cancer, Piceses, this is strange at times.

No, not necessarily. You need to have your chart done to see where all your planets are to be accurate. There are websites where you put in your date of birth, time and place of birth and it does it all for you.

and libra is also in Venus for me so would that mean i am more attracted to Libra or more suited for one?.

Another Pisces here!This time with an Aries Moon and Capricorn rising.I think the Aries Moon is a great one,both me and my dad and my little 5 year old sister have it and though it is a very moody Moon sign we are generous to a fault and always intend well...Of course we are prone to these super weird outbursts of anger,which can be very painful for more delicate,tender Moons(especially for the Cancer Moon),but it goes away very quickly and we just forgive and forget.We do share a certain intensity of feeling with the other Martian Moon(Scorpio)but we are not revengeful as Scorpio Moons are,though we also lack a certain loyalty and stability.Anyway,it is a fun Moon to have!
