Who’s the bread-winner in your family? That well known saying can now be, ‘behind every great women there’s a man’! And for some, it can work harmoniously and enhance their relationship, while for others, it can present insurmountable challenges ending in the divorce courts.

Then how do you make it work? It’s all about balance and by changing your perceptions you can stay as lovey-dovey as the first day you met.

The Ambitious Wife:
Yes life can be exciting in the fast lane. It’s the buzz of achieving, leading and communicating which keeps you coming back.

And yes you might think how nice it would be to come home to a guy with the same drive, the same ambition. But would it? Is he going to be interested in ‘how your day’ has been. Oh, and who’s going to emotionally support you and the family, rub your back when you’re tired, and ask “do you want a cup of tea honey”. Your ambitious guy? I think not!

The laid back Husband:
Don’t worry about what society says hubby, if the truth ‘s known, you’re the one who keeps her sane, tells her she’s doing terrific, is right there by her side nurturing her through the tough times and sharing her celebrations.

In truth the dynamics of this relationship are perfectly balanced, one is providing what the other needs and as long as both people can appreciate this and change their perception on what they ‘think’ is right or wrong, they’ll have an enviable relationship.
