Being the best you can be!
Making The Effort
Looks Count
But it’s more than looks that count, it’s whether you have made an effort to do something special with yourself. It’s not a matter being stunningly beautiful like a supermodel or a plain Jane or Jim, it’s all about how you feel about yourself. If you have made the effort to look good, then this says that you have a good self–awareness and have pride in yourself. If you have pride in yourself, then this can be an indication if you’re going to have pride in someone else. Let’s just say it’s one of those little tell tale signs as to what you are like as a person.
People say looks shouldn’t count and it’s what’s inside that matter, but the point is, it’s what’s inside, which makes the outside. Your outside appearance is an indication to others of what you are like as a person because it’s the inside, which reflects on the outside. So you see, looks do count and they are important. Also, people gravitate to those who are similar to themselves, it’s a natural thing for you to feel more comfortable with someone who has the same values as you do and this is no different when it comes to your looks and the maintenance and upkeep of your looks.
Everyone Is Beautiful
Yes, some people are naturally beautiful, but it’s the inner beauty that really counts. If you feel good about yourself as a person on the inside then this will radiate out to the rest of the world and you will automatically come alive. People don’t always see the physical self, in fact after a while this becomes secondary, what really counts is what’s on the inside, but it’s the outside, which is what people see first and what they form an opinion of you on. The inside and the outside appearance are both very important. It’s no good if you are a fabulous person but your outwardly appearance is so bad that you never get past first base, therefore people don’t get to see the real you..
It takes constant work to improve yourself on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis. It’s a never–ending task, not a course you take and then you’re finished. Because you are changing all the time, you will want to change yourself to keep up with the new you. You are a unique and beautiful person and there is a perfect match (well with just a little compromise) out there for you, so the more you can fine tune and feel comfortable about yourself, the better the chance of attracting your ideal partner and then you can grow together. The secret is, it all starts with you and that’s the way it should be.
Making The Best Of You
Beautiful Jane or Jim
Even a plain Jane or Jim can be physically beautiful, even supermodels can be very plain without all the glitz. It’s a matter of making the best of what you have and that’s what beautiful people do, they make the best of what they have. A movie star without his or her beautiful clothes, makeup and hair, can also look plain, in some cases you wouldn’t even recognise them. It’s the accessories, which make someone look beautiful. Not many people are naturally beautiful, and if they are, then they can change their look and fine–tune it with clever accessorising, fashion and beauty techniques that enhance their natural good looks. Grooming is a big part of being beautiful and it shows that you care enough about yourself to take the time and trouble.
Time For Honesty
Ok, what is it that you love or at least like about yourself. Write down your strengths and weaknesses. For instance, do you have great hair? If so then get professional advice, look up magazines, do the very best that you can with your hair and play up that feature. If you have less that drop dead gorgeous legs then make sure you don’t wear short shirts or tight pants. Maybe you have good eyes but thin lips, play up your eyes, learn how to make them tantalising and play down your lips, don’t wear bright lip colour ,which says look at my lips. Nice hands; make sure your nails are on show and wear pretty or stunning rings. But, don’t over adorn your fingers if you have short stumpy fingers with broken bitten back to the quick nails, not a good look. Get the picture. And if you haven’t got the budget to get the professionals to look after you then there are plenty of home do it yourself treatments on the market today. You can also get some terrific hints out of magazines or on the internet.
Now take your list of things you don’t like about yourself and look to see how it is serving you in life. For instance, if you have a tendency to put on weight it may force you to learn more about nutrition therefore it keeps you healthy. If you were a naturally thin person, perhaps you would over indulge on junk food and not be as healthy. Write down the things about the parts of yourself you don’t feel good about, and do this exercise for each thing you don’t like about yourself. Then make some action points to set a new regimen for your image overhaul.
Feeling better about yourself can result in you looking good, it’s all part of the look good feel good formula that automatically makes you shine from the inside out!
