Late Monday morning at around 10 a.m., neighbors watch as a double-block in the 600-block street in Necospeck were destroyed completely by a fire whose cause is still under investigation.

Psychic Shirlet Enama was sleeping inside the burning house at that time. A vision of her mother has woken her up. “My mother that died years ago, literally shook me and started screaming to get out of the house. She saved our lives. When I woke up the place was on fire. The flames were shooting out all around it,” she said.

Firefighting crews from Berwick, Mifflin Township and Nescopeck all responded to fight the blaze that wrecked psychic Shirlet Enama’s home for more than 2 hours. A dog were not able to survive this tragedy along with some of Enama’s antiques for her psychic services. Enama’s son, who lives in the same house was not home at that moment.

“She was one of the best neighbors we’ve had. She’s really friendly, always looking out for you”, said by the neighbor Jennifer Sheets. Neighbor Kimberly Evernham along with other people has said that Enama opened her home to the community and that they had a gorgeous home having antiques and collection of many different things. Enama says “We wanted to make the house something beautiful for the town, so everyone could come in and see it,”. She also said that insurance should be covering the damage and that she hopes to rebuild her home.
