It has started when the Earth experienced a wobble motion which was cited as a reason why our Astrological signs are out of whack. An astronomy professor was surprised that his claims about adding a new sign got considerable buzz.

It has been reported that the wobble of the Earth means that it is no longer aligned in the same way that it was thousands of years ago when the first astrological signs were drafted. Some may not believe in astrology but there could probably be a 13th sign named Ophiuchus.

This breaking news went viral on various sites generating considerable buzz. It even covered the top five on Google’s trend list at one point last week. The wobble occurred is called “precession,” an astronomical term for the change in the earth’s axis every so often. It only happens every 70 years or so wherein the planet shifts one degree. So just imagine how much it has shifted over the past 3,000 years. And this news story has become an internet sensation.

It is said that astronomers have known about this since about 130 BC and it should not be referred to as new news because almost every astronomy class talks about it. The Earth is really over here in effect and Sun is in a different constellation than it was 3,000 years ago.

This news should not prompt a change in one’s horoscope according to American Federation of Astrologers spokesperson Shelley Ackerman. It should not change ones’ chart at all as he is not about to use it. It should not be worried about by many as every few years a story like this comes out and scares the living daylights out of everyone, but it will go away as quickly as it came.
