While psychic James Van Praagh is making money out of his skills in communicating with the dead, some “zombies” appeared at his $100-a-head “spirit circles. These “zombies” aim to “get into” his brain and unlock his psychic powers.

The “zombies” are actually members of an organization that aims to expose paranormal and pseudoscientific frauds. The group is called the James Randi Educational Foundation (JREF). Their protests include posts that say “Talk to us, we won’t bite,” and “Psychics do not talk to the dead”.

These include people like Van Praagh, Sylvia Browne, and John Edward. This is according to the president of JREF and Huffington Post blogger, D.J. Grothe.

According to Grothe, “We’re not rabble rousing. This is a guy who is taking advantage of people’s grief. He’s not performing for entertainment, he’s claiming he’s giving messages from dead relatives. He gets people when they are at their lowest and sees them as his target market.”

The activity was pursued by the “zombies” because Van Praage is having second thoughts about accepting the group’s challenge of multimillion to prove his psychic claims.

According to Grothe, Van Praagh, Edwards, and Browne are what he calls “ethical deceptions”.

As of this time, everyone is waiting for Van Praagh to comment on the issue and await his decision whether he will accept the multimillion challenge or not.

“If James Van Praagh is making his living by faking psychic powers and pretending to speak to people’s deceased family members, that’s truly shameful. That’s why we put a million dollars on the line and gave him the opportunity to prove he can really talk to dead people,” said Grothe.
