Nuweling 0 Report post Posted July 20, 2017 My dad is in hospital again. They have drained excessive amounts of fluid from him. He has liver sclerosis or cirrhosis not sure. Dr told my mom today it's only a short term solution to drain the fluid and that his liver is "very very bad"... He is in ICU for the night to stabilise BP but long-term prospects does not seem good.... I am so scared that I won't get to see him again seeing as he can't travel and don't know if he will ever be able to again unless there is a cure/miracle to heal him.. :( Please send some healing his way :( Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

He is at a hospital now and being treated by 1 of only 6 Liver specialists in SA. They have started him on medication and doing a huge range of testing which will take about 10 days. Xx Thank you so much! I slept better last night, was awake very very early but slept for at least 4-5 hrs straight (which is a huge improvement on the past week).. Nuweling 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2017 Guys! His kidney and Liver function has improved slightly!!!!! He can possibly go home over the weekend but has to go back again in a week for further treatment. Slight improvement is SO much better than the death sentence the referring Dr gave! I am so relieved... All I wanted is just a bit more time to make beautiful memories with him and our kids.. This might actually happen! Thanks so so much for all the healing!! Nuweling 0 Report post Posted August 7, 2017 Please send some light and healing again this week. Dad is going back tomorrow to start a new set of tests and to see what the way forward will be. I am hoping we will have a prognosis so that we can plan ahead. I am still hoping for the absolute best but trying to stay realistic too... That is very good, things are moving in the right direction Sending healing I know and I am hopeful but trying to be realistic too.. I'm grateful that he is getting great help at the moment!
