Appreciation Thread

Recommended Posts

several happy things and things that i appreciate all jumbled together; i love happy customers even if i wasn't the one who made them happy. one lady last night got off her cell phone when she got to the counter, gave me a big smile, and smiled the entire time i rang her out. later i had two absolutely wonderful ladies; i checked the store for the item they were looking for and finding none at our store, i checked the other stores. told the ladies that there were none in any stores in a 50 mile radius but it was available online and i could order it for them. they were both fantastic.

and later today i'm going to be very emotional; my contacts are finally in. the correction for my eyesight at the moment is 20/40 (something at 20 ft away looks like it's 40 ft away); my eye specialist has gotten it to 20/25. plus it's my parents' 30th anniversary.

hi all! I thought I would add a couple things I'm appreciative of!

First of all, I joined this forum in 2005 (when I was 18) and I really appreciate all the really patient, loving people on this forum. You all are so generous with your advice, even when I was younger and my posts were a lot more immature and negative. I feel like I have grown up a lot since then and I have you guys to thank for being so supportive. I look back at some of my posts and I slap my head and go "yikes! what was I thinking?" but I guess that is just a part of growing up! haha

I also appreciate my friends and family for being the most wonderful people I know!!

Lastly, I appreciate the universe/my angels/spirit guides for guiding me through life. I just recently read Angels 101 by Doreen Virtue and it inspired me to ask for help more often from my angels. I asked my angels to help me plan the best trip possible to Mexico and at the best price possible. Well, I just booked it today and it is about $500 cheaper then I expected for an all inclusive resort and the hotel looks amazing! I'm so excited! I honestly feel like my angels were there helping me find the best price possible. I am now going to try and just trust the universe more in all aspects of my life because I know I won't be let down!

Thanks everyone!

I love this too! It shows us what is possible should humankind ever choose a different path.

As I tidy my desk after my final student for the night I give thanks to my father for one of the lessons he taught me: when we were kids if anyone used something and left it where they finished with it he would appear at the door and remind us to "P.B."... P.B. ?

Yes, Put Back.

There's a lot to be said for putting things where they belong.

I'm thankful for everything. First of all, God, my faith in him,and the gift to do things through him.

I look at myself,I look at people around me and think that what we are,and what we do is amazing. I'm thankful for that.

Yay for mothers giving emotional support. My monitor crapped out yesterday and I called home in tears. My mum tells me "I can't tell you what to do regarding the monitor. That's your dad's job. I can give you emotional support."

And yay for my roomie. If we hadn't gone to bed at the same time last night, she was going to lend me her 'puter until I did go to bed.

I love the smell of the beach at five in the am :D the way the cold water feels against my face as i paddle out... the taste of the salt water.

I love the way my baby girl stops crying after i pick her up,

I love the way her heart beats against mine when she is sleeping on my chest

I love the way my husband kisses me :D

I love that I can have as many tattoos as possible and he will still tell me how beautiful I am :D

I love that my friends are as spazzy and spontaneous as me :D no party poopers there :D

I love the look on my sons face when he finds out we like the same song hahaha :D

I love when asking my son "why did you do that talon?" he answers "because i'm awesome" hahahahah lmao I tried not to laugh.

I love being a mom

I love growing older

I love this thread. It gives me warm, fuzzy feelings inside my heart. :)

I also love watching my children grow, and I love helping them become creative, lovable and idividual people.

I love just being myself and being secure and happy with it. If someone doesn't like me, oh well. You can't make everyone happy. I love being an individual, and am proud of it. It also warms my heart when I see others happy with themselves. People who can be silly in public, and not feel embarassed. People who are simply themselves, and don't have to lie to gain acceptance.

I love it when people call me crazy, because, in all honesty...I am a bit crazy. hehe

I love communicating with nature, and being at one with all the little creatures, plants and weather. I love the smell of the rain and the way it feels on my face, sitting in the warm sun and soaking in the rays, the feel of the wind all around me and the way a thunder storm makes me feel alive with electricity.

I love it when someone can open the door for you, smile at you and simply say, "hi." I also love it when some stranger offers a thank you instead of just walking by when you open the door for them, as well.

I love being in love with my soulmate...the one that completes me, the one that has always completed me from the first moment I saw him. I love the fact that he feels the same about me. Love at first sight.

I love my art (yes, you guys are probably sick of hearing about it. lol). I love how much of a connection I have with it, how much a part of my soul it is, and how much it completes me, as well...and I love that I never once wanted to do anything other than art, career wise...and the fact that I have found what I truly love to do. Not a whole lot of people can say that.

I love the kindness that people show on this forum and the help and compassion they offer. In that respect, I love it when I see kindness from my fellow human beings. People who havn't allowed the world to toughen them up and put a wall up over their hearts.

I just love being alive in this world that seems so hopeless sometimes. Yes, maybe it's a tough world, and maybe people can be cruel, rude, mean, hateful and depressed. But, I do see the light in others who might not see it in themselves. I love exposing that light and drawing it out of people. That one simple act of acceptance, love and help do wonders on a person, and can change their whole world and being...if you are just willing to sit there and listen to WHAT made them the way they are.

I love so many more things, like singing...although I can't carry a tune. lol I love dancing, even though I have absolutely NO rythm whatsoever.

"I am grateful for all the second chances I've received."

I don’t want to get to personal, but was this statement made because of a few near death experience? If so, I would like to talk to you about it.

This such a beautiful thread...

I love that I have a roof over my head, and food on my table...the most basic things are the most essential...

I love my siblings, just because they are children, and pure and innoccent in every way.

I love my parents, because I know they love me unconditionally.

I love my boyfriend, because I'm a big crying pain in the a** but he stands by my side!

I love my male best friend because he is wicked! He makes me laugh so much he brings me to tears.

I love my female best friend because she is so strong and loyal! She really is a devoted, sensitive person.

I love my compassionate side.I love my self-undoing side that provides for everyone and puts others needs ahead of my own.

I love my selfish side too!Sometimes it feels good to run into your room with a bar of chocolate and eat it all by yourself!

I love all my other friends because they all bring something good and beautiful into my life. All of them.

I love the people on this forum, because I have never seen one word of hate or anger spoken between members around here.I know all of you have done helpful for others around here, and will continue to do so.

Well this was nice! ^_^

I love my tiny church community up here at school. I spent Mass today holding a four year old (who eventually fell asleep on me) and managed to film the homily while the four year old played with the zoom button.

Once again I'm in love with my tiny church community. I held an upset 7 year old today until she calmed down and still managed to do my job. Kids are amazing.
