Vampires and science

black deathIn as early as 1500 in Old Europe, there were incidents of mass hysteria around the notion of the vampire. Entire villages claimed to be terrorized by the undead rising from their graves to suck the blood of the living. A lot of these sightings coincided with the black plague and some scientists believe that society was not yet fully able to understand the process of death and decomposition of human bodies.

Because of a lack of advancement of science, people believed that persons who had been put to their grave were returning again to feed on the living because they were not yet dead. The only way to combat such evil was to pierce the heart or stake them to the ground. Corpses have been discovered buried with stones or dirt placed in their mouths, and scientists believe that this was to prevent them from rising and feeding again.

Vampires and legends

Elizabeth_BathoryThere are many well-known legends about vampires that terrorized entire villages. In 1582 in the town of Pentsch in the then Czech Republic, a man named Johannes Cuntius died tragically. As he lay upon his deathbed, a black cat jumped up on his bed, which was considered to be a terrible, terrible omen.

He died at that moment, and thereafter, villagers claimed to have seen the man wandering around the village at night giving off a terrible and foul stench. Reports indicate that he attempted to bite and eat people until the village finally decided to burn the body, cut it to pieces, and crushed it to ashes.

Then there is the story of the Countess Elizabeth Bathory who was born in Transylvania in 1560. She was a woman of privilege with money and good looks. Elizabeth apparently had an obsession with young women and would drink their blood in order to ensure that she stayed youthful and beautiful. Eventually, an investigation was begun and she was incarcerated.

A Serbian man named Petar Blagojevich apparently crawled out of his grave in 1725 to return to his house to ask his son for food. The first night the son appeased him, but the second night he refused. The next day the villagers discovered a gruesome sight. His son’s entire family had been brutally murdered, the vampire apparently having drunk their blood. Thereafter, legend says the vampire continued around the town, murdering villagers in the same fashion. Around every death there were reports of having seen a vampire. When the village dug up the man’s corpse, legend says that it was well preserved, not at all decayed, yet covered in blood at the mouth.

Blood and magic

blood plasmaBlood is one of the most powerful and magical things. Blood is what flows onto the battlefield when warriors are slain. Blood is what we see when we are mortally wounded. Blood is also the bringer of life.

A woman’s menstruation and fertility are steeped in blood. A woman’s broken hymen at her first attempt at procreation involves blood, as is the gateway of life and the gateway of death. Blood represents life, power, emotion, passion. Our ancestral history is carried in our blood. When we are passionate or in love with something we say ‘it is in our blood.’ Our family is our blood.

It is not a coincidence that people have a fascination with blood. These connections have caused people to believe that blood can provide immortality, that blood can extend youth. It is also not surprising that blood has been used in witchcraft and in magical practices for generations. And it is no surprise that it is blood that the vampire seeks to feed his immortal life.

It is also the blood of the vampire that cures all ailments. The blood of the vampire brings the dying back to life, while the blood of the human provides the nourishment for the vampire’s survival.

Vampires in literature and the arts

NosferatuThe concept of the vampire has changed over the centuries. What began as a stinking, foul, molding creature that terrorized villages has over the years, turned into a graceful, desirable (although tormented) being. From Bram Stoker’s Dracula to the classic Nosferatu and Bela Lugosi’s brilliant performance in “Bram Stoker’s Dracula,” the image of the vampire has certainly evolved over time.

Many still believe that vampirism is an achievable power, and there are vampire spells that claim to give you the supernatural powers of a vampire. Whether spells are able to change your DNA or not, the allure of the vampire and vampire spells is timeless.

Vampire spells

What are vampire spells? Typically they fall into two categories. Spells to protect you from vampires and spells to turn you into a vampire. In terms of the former, the well-known cures such as garlic and crucifixes are common knowledge. In terms of the latter, there are many spells that claim to give you the immortality of the vampire, but most people would agree that we have not yet discovered a way to evade certain death. But what about other kinds of vampires? Are there vampires who don’t feed off of your blood? Perhaps they feed off of your psychic energy instead?

Psychic vampires

Psychology plays a fascinating role in the world of GClub Casino. The study of human behavior, decision-making, and emotions is integral to understanding how players engage with casino games.

Everybody has met someone who seemed to drain them energetically. There are people in this world who cannot seem to produce their own joy. They surround themselves with people that are full of light and over time they drain them just like the traditional vampire would. Instead of draining people of their blood, the psychic vampire drains people of their will. So, how do you protect yourself from vampires – psychic or the real deal? Here are a few vampire protection spells.

Spells to ward off vampires

Historically, there have been many vampire spells for protection. The most common way of warding off the vampire is with the use of holy water. People used to sprinkle it around their homes or even around gravesites so that the dead would never break out from their graves and return to torment the living. Crucifixes and bibles are another popular way of warding off vampires. Because vampires are seen as the evil undead, the use of anything religious in terms of the Christian faith was thought to keep the vampires away.

The same goes for consecrated or holy ground. Dirt was even put into the mouths of the dead in order to prevent them from returning to the living to feed on their lives. There are also specific weapons that are used to ward off vampires, such as stakes through the heart, silver bullets, or burning. Mirrors are also a traditionally useful tool. Because vampires have no soul they have no reflection. In this way, you can always know if somebody is a vampire. Mirrors were often placed on the front doors of buildings in order to distract vampires from entering.

There is also a plethora of herbs and plants that are believed to repel vampires. For example, people would wear ropes of garlic around their necks, hang garlic in their homes, and sometimes people were even buried with garlic in order to protect prevent them from returning from the grave. Other herbs to ward off vampires include agrimony, blessed thistle, and hawthorne.

Spells to ward off psychic vampires

The most popular vampire spells out there today are spells to ward off psychic vampires. Since psychic vampires absorb the positive energy from others in order to fill their emptiness, they can leave their victims feeling weak and drained. There are several steps to dealing with a psychic vampire.

First, be sure to determine who in your life could be draining you. There are several signs of a psychic vampire. Is there someone in your life you constantly feel attracted to, but every time you’re finished spending time with them you feel exhausted? Or maybe you just feel bad about yourself afterward for reasons that don’t make sense? Psychic vampires put others down in order to make themselves feel better. They may criticize you with a smile or make a joke that they say is supposed to be funny but it’s not. Then they may criticize you for having no sense of humor. Or maybe their attacks are much more obvious.

Warning signs of a psychic vampire

There are some common characteristics that all psychic vampires share. The first is that they have a need to control others. Their domineering nature tends to be arrogant and self-righteous. They tend to keep chaotic and fast-paced environments in work and social relationships in order to keep everyone on their toes at all times. This allows them to change course suddenly or create illusions to confuse others. Psychic vampires also suffer from severe outbursts of rage and violence. They also tend to project their feelings and fears onto others. Whether shame, guilt, or rage it’s always somebody else’s fault.

The first step is to identify who is toxic in your life. You probably already know. The second step is to create safe boundaries. Don’t feel compelled to explain to them what you’re doing. It will only cause them to manipulate the situation more. It’s best to secretly and quietly go about setting your boundaries while letting them think they are still in control.

Next, if you have been in the company of a psychic vampire for a long time you probably need to work on restoring your physical emotional and psychic health. This is where spellcasting can come in really handy. In order to rid yourself of this toxic energy, perform a banishing spell. You can also perform a binding spell to bind them away from you. Next, you can perform a healing spell on yourself or an aura cleansing. This will help you get your vitality back.

Spell to rid yourself of a psychic vampire

Here is a spell to rid yourself of psychic attacks and the word off psychic vampires from Everything Under the Moon.

You will need on your altar:

  • 2 white candles
  • Sea salt in warm water in a cauldron or bowl
  • Incense (frankincense or myrrh are good)
  • Your favorite oil.

Place the candles at the back of the altar, one on the right to represent the God, one on the left for the Goddess. Place the salt water in the centre, and the incense at the front.
Anoint each item with the oil and say :

I ward off negativity in my home, work and everyday life.
No evil or negativity shall enter here.

Picture a white light around you and as it increases to full intensity, picture it surrounding your home and workplace. Now say :

Psychic vampires in the night
Psychic vampires who destroy my life
Destroy no more of what I achieve
Destroy no more of what I receive
Negativity is not welcome
Evil is not welcome
In me, around me or the people I love.

Repeat this 3 times, then allow the incense and candles to burn themselves out.

Who would want to die and live eternally sucking the blood from others? Maybe because vampires have amazing powers. First, they don’t age from the day that they are turned. Second, they have incredible strength and speed. Vampires also exhibit amazing powers of hypnosis and the ability to control others with their minds. And don’t forget their sexual appeal.
