General Meaning of the Page of Wands in a Reading
All the Court Cards in the Tarot talk about one of two things: they either represent YOU and your current energy at the moment, or they talk about other people in your life that may have an influence on you. If it is other people, you can narrow it down by knowing what their Astrology sign is – if they are one of the Fire signs – Leo, Sagittarius or Aries, then you are dealing with a Wands person.
Pages usually indicate someone young, under the age of 18, or someone who is a little naïve or immature. Often the Pages indicate children. Hence, a Page of Wands could be someone who is a young Aries, Leo or Sagittarius, perhaps a child of yours, a child you know or simply a person in your life who seems youthful, childlike – or even childish.
If the Page represents YOU, then it shows you have young, fiery and dynamic nature, but that you may be prone to impulsive decisions and therefore need a guide or a mentor.
Lastly, Pages can represent Beginnings, just like the Ace in Tarot Cards – and this is relevant in both the simpler One Card Spread or the more in-depth Celtic Cross Spread.
The Symbolism of the Page of Wands
This card shows a young man, dressed finely and holding a wooden staff in his hands. The staff is budding, and there are mountains in the background. He seems to gaze at the staff lovingly and in wonder as if it holds some mystery or gift. It’s as if there are unknown Angels or Guides in the background.
The young man indicates that you, or someone in your life, is youthful, either in age or in manner, perhaps a touch naïve or childlike. He is dressed to go on a journey, which is supported by the mountains in the background. This can indicate a new journey you or the young/young-seeming person in your life is about to go on in order to gain more life experience.
The staff and the way he is holding the staff show that there seems to be some idealism about the future. Either you or someone else is feeling very inspired and has some great ideas for the future. However, the idealism may need to be managed by a good dose of realism, too. When doing an online reading, this may pertain to any area of life, from Love to Money, to Career.
