2009 is the year of wishful thinking and avoiding reality. Day dreamer Neptune and expansive Jupiter spend the year in Aquarius, the sign of the Sun will come out tomorrow. May and December 2009 are two months where world events will see significant moves and changes in the economy and in world politics. As in 2008, the economy will be on shaky ground and it’s vital that everyone watch their spending and make sure they have money put away for a rainy day (of which there will be many).

This year also brings two more exact alignments of Saturn in Virgo and Uranus in Pisces. On a personal level, this manifests as a profound change or ending. You could walk away from a job or relationship or decide to take your like in a whole new direction. Be cautious. Changes made during a Uranus transit are almost always irreversible.

Saturn enters Libra October 29, aligning with Pluto in Capricorn. Jobs, finances and real estate will continue to be global hotspots and there could be an increasing demand for government and corporate change and overhaul. There will be a strong desire to revamp and restructure life as part of an evolutionary process. Again sudden decisions aren’t the wisest choice because change associated with Pluto is usually irreversible.
